Brenda in her studio painting the original Arizona Sunrise canvas

The Artist

Brenda J Schodt

An Arizona artist painting the places people love since 1997.

It began with a sunset.

Brenda saw her first Arizona desert sunset when she was eighteen. That evening sparked a lifelong passion for capturing the beauty of the places people love.

She paints in acrylics and mixed media, inspired by the sunrises, sunsets, and landscapes of America, and she has owned her own business since 1997.

A family business

In 2007, Brenda and her daughter, Brittany, opened Southwest Ornaments together. In 2022, the business became Brenda J Studio, and we launched Brenda's printed art so more people could take home a piece of the places they love. Brenda remains the artist behind every design.

Two ways to bring her art home

Hand Painted Ornaments. Each glass ornament is painted by hand by Brenda in Arizona and initialed "BjS." Every one arrives in a custom two-piece gold gift box, ready to give or to keep and display all year.

Prints & Gifts. Every design begins as one of Brenda's original paintings, reproduced as art prints, magnets, stickers, greeting cards, and ornaments, proudly made in the USA.

Meaningful Art. Memorable Gifts.
